RumorFix has learned that the final book in Suzanna Collins' Hunger Games series will be split into two films: The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2.
It has been rumored for nearly a year that Lionsgate would split the films, but it was officially announced on Tuesday. The movie studio appears to be stealing a page from the Twilight series with the film's, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and Part 2.
This means we'll get to see more of Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth on-screen as they reprise their roles of Katniss, Peeta and Gale.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 arrives in theaters on November 21, 2014; The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 hits screens on November 20, 2015.
