We were SO proud that Jennifer Lawrence won at the SAG Awards on Sunday, but it seems our pride couldn’t even come close to that of her parents!
After winning Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for Silver Linings Playbook, J.Law’s parents, Karen and Gary, couldn’t have been happier!
Seriously, the Kentucky-based couple is just too adorable for words!
Of his daughter, Gary gushed:
"I'm so proud. I feel like I've got the Secretariat in the Derby."
Awww! TOO cute, G.Law!
Jennifer’s mom, on the other hand, couldn’t even attempt to control the waterworks!
Karen said:
"I just can't stop crying. I don't have anything to say because we'll embarrass her. We always do! I'm so proud because she's remained who she is throughout this whole process and it hasn't changed her. That's what I'm proud of. I don't care whether she wins or loses necessarily, but because she won and she's stayed strong and true to herself, that's what makes me proud."
Totes adorbz! What AHmazing parents she has… but then again, how can we even be surprised?? They did create her, after all! LOLz!
We — and Karen and Gary, we’re sure — look forward to seeing where Jennifer’s career takes her and to her garnering even MORE praise!
