New Years Honours | Panda Su

So, it’s 2013. Here’s a quick review of 2012 before we move on…

In September, ‘Alphabet Song’ was used in House At The End Of The Street, an American horror film directed by Mark Tonderai. It was US Box Office #1. Jennifer Lawrence stared alongside Max Thieriot and Elisabeth Shue. I stayed to watch the credits. The cinema staff wondered why.

I made a music video for Alphabet Song. The video was filmed at Lochee Launderette in Dundee. I had a crew, lovingly assembled by Dylan Drummond, the director. Thank you to Stephen, Bryndice, Kathryn, Jill, Ad, Portis, Kerry, and Dylan… let’s make another one soon! Thank you to all the extras and their kids. A big thank you to the Grossi family for their hospitality. Dundee is great, you should visit.

I visited and played shows on beautiful islands and in towns, villages and cities. I toured, but not nearly enough.

I started work on my album and intend to live in my studio until it is complete. A new single, ‘Maps’ will be released in March.

Nic Harcourt played me on his radio show KCSN and invited me over to do a session with him in LA.

Q Magazine listed me as one of ‘10 Scottish bands you should listen to’ on their website.

But before we move onto 2013… a Thank You to everyone who has continued to buy my music, come to my shows, write reviews, include me on their blogs and help spread the word about Panda Su.

I do not have a publisher, a booking agent, a PR team, a radio plugger or a tour manager. I release music under my own label. Making music can be expensive. Things take longer.

Thank You for waiting.

PS x
