If I thought I was obsessed with Jennifer Lawrence before watching “Silver Linings Playbook”, well, her performance and revealing hot body in the movie just solidified it. My husband and I caught a matinee showing of it with some friends this past weekend and I now know why it was nominated for a Golden Globe as best film and, in addition, the honors and reviews that Ms. Lawrence has been receiving for her performance. She is a power house of an actress. I know that she was playing a character, but I can not imagine another young actress in Hollywood today who would have been able to pull off her unabashed, in your face, and realistic portrayal of a woman in mourning who is also slowly falling in love with Bradley Cooper (I wouldn’t consider this a “spoiler alert”, this is hinted at pretty strongly in the previews).
So not only will her killer, yes, “killer”, body be my inspiration for running this week, but also her real-life, don’t take any crap, self-deprecating attitude. I love anyone, especially someone in the spotlight, who can so easily harp on themselves and, at the same time, tell off those who doubt her and try and put her down. Looking at any picture of her and it is very easy to conclude that she is the opposite of “fat”, even according to celebrity standards. To have soft, slim curves like that and maintain an overall rock hard physique is certainly a wonder to behold. I know she has a personal trainer and expert nutritional advise (although I’ve also read that she eats what she wants and I too know what is best for my body), I am satisfied in just using (yes using) her body as a source of inspiration instead of an unattainable goal. Unless I get the perfect boob job I will not have Jennifer Lawrence’s shape. My husband is trying to convince me that my butt looks like hers…nice one, but I love him for trying. Anyways, her confidence, physique, and active lifestyle will be the motivation I need to amp up my miles and kick my workouts into gear this week. (Oh and I’ll take her new gorgeous locks too). Thanks Jennifer!
