Blockbuster movies which have drawn considerable attention of cinema-goers are commonly based on not only famous novels but also popular comics. Below is the list of comics-based movies that can not be missed.

 

“Scott Pilgrim vs. the World”

“Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” is based on the comic book series Scott Pilgrim written by Bryan Lee O\’Malley. The movie tells the story about Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera). He meets the girl of his dreams by chance named Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). In order to have a relationship with Ramona, Scott must defeat Ramona\’s seven evil exes. “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” was aired on August 13th, 2010.

“Catwoman”

In the film, Megan Fox plays the character Leila, an ex-prostitute rescued from a brothel by Hex.

“Watchmen”

“Watchmen” was reported to be an adaption of the comic book by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. The superhero film directed by Zack Snyder tells the story about a group of retired vigilantes. One of their fellows is mysteriously killed. They attempt to reveal the cause and discover unexpected truths. The movie is set in 1985 when the Cold War between the U.S. and the Soviet Union is occurring.

He was born with a gift or a curse to see demons and angels walking this earth disguised as humans. Together with detective Angela Dodson, Constantine battles the demons on Earth.

“Spawn”

“Spawn” is based on the comic book of Todd McFarlane. Directed by Mark A.Z. Dippé, the movie starred Michael Jai White, John Leguizamo, Melinda Clarke, Nicol Williamson and Theresa Randle. The main character is Al Simmons who dies from a gas fire caused by his superior. If Simmons becomes his eternal servant and leader of his army in Armageddon, he'll be able to return to Earth to see his beloved fiancée. It was released on August 1st, 1997.
