Justin Stephens/ABC/Fred Lee(NEW YORK) -- Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer are not only friends, they're now colleagues.
The two are collaborating on a comedic screenplay in which they'll play sisters, the Hunger Games star told the New York Times. They have 100 pages written so far.
"We start the day off on the phone, laughing. And then we send each other pages. And we crack up," Lawrence said of her work with Schumer. "I’m flying out tomorrow to see her in Chicago. We’ll write a little bit with her sister, Kim, who worked with Amy when she was writing Trainwreck."
Lawrence explained she first reached out via email to Schumer after seeing Trainwreck a few months ago. "[I] said, 'I don’t know where to get started. I guess I should just say it: I’m in love with you,'" she recalled.
They began a correspondence, and then found themselves texting each other. Soon after, Schumer invited Lawrence to go on vacation with her and her friends.
"We really hit it off, to say the least,” Lawrence said. "[Writing this film has] been the most fun experience of my life."
